IN RIGHTEOUSNESS"
A Dramatic Trilogy of Isaiah 61:10 |

"The
Black Dress"
Theme: Surrender
The
Basic Black Dress is the first in the series that has been
enthusiastically received. It is a conversation with the
Lord over a 25-year span of time, (packed into 35 minutes.)
When
the speaker first appears on stage, she has brilliantly
colored accessories on a black dress. As life wears on, each
piece come off--pride (a red sash), a dear sister's death
(green cuff), an unfortunate divorce (yellow collar), etc.
Each is ultimately surrendered to God until there's only the
basic black dress. Scripture is used at every point and
finally the meaning of Romans 8:28 becomes clear.
This
dramatic monologue (in allegory form) underscores a life of
faith in a God who works things out for our good.
Through humor and tears, the speaker relates the story of a
life, then looking back, helps us make sense of the trials
and tribulations in the light of God's promises.
THE
BASIC BLACK DRESS is a single session, about 35 minutes in
length. Some humor, some tears!
Powerful
impact!! |

"DRESSED
FOR THE KING"
Theme:
Sanctification
Part
two in the dramatic trilogy of "Robed In
Righteousness"; is "Dressed For the King"
which focuses on our interpersonal relationships with
family, friends, and co-workers.
A
lady named Rea Joyce struggles with old habits of nasty
comments, complaining, gossiping, and others. Then she
discovers the King is coming to her door….and she is
wearing those ugly clothes. How she recovers in time to be
presentable for the King is a lesson we all can profit from.
This
dramatic monologue (in allegory form) is a Biblical
challenge to "take off" the clothes of the
old nature and "put on" the "Robes of
Righteousness"; as commanded in the third chapter of
Colossians.
It's
also an exhortation to work, play and live with those around
us in a way that glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ.
"Dressed For The King" is a single session, about
30 minutes in length.
Humorous,
yet thought provoking!
Optional evangelistic ending. |

"GRACIE
AND THE RED DRESS"
Theme: Salvation
Part
three of "Robed In Righteousness" will emphasize
salvation. "Gracie and the Red Dress" is the
story of a young woman who has forsaken her Christian
upbringing for a life of self-centeredness and sin.
Through
the "chance" encounter with another woman in a
dress shop, she repents and comes to know the Lord as her
Savior. But not before she tries on all the wrong
dresses...the outfits of "everybody believes this
way", "my grandmother went to church",
"true for you but not for me", "I'll have to
give up too much", "I'm not as bad as my
friend", and more.
In
allegory form, the plan of salvation is given and it is
emphasized that "without the shedding of blood, there
is no forgiveness of sins." (Hebrews 9:22)
This
will be a bit longer, about 45 minutes, and will soon be
ready for presentation.
Mostly
serious, but excellent for evangelistic emphasis.
